Riaan Naude, a hunter known for killing dozens of wild animals and posing with the carcasses, was shot dead in the head.
Police found her body inside her car in Limpopo, South Africa. International media reported that Naude was going hunting when he was killed.

Environmentalist Julio César Martínez, defender of wildlife and opponent of hunting, was one of the first to confirm Naude’s murder.
According to the Heritage Protection Group (HPG), a non-profit organization that fights hunting, Naude stopped while driving because the vehicle’s engine overheated.

Then, he was approached by a white vehicle and a man, accompanied by another person, got out to shoot him in the head.
The Hunting Club website explained that Lieutenant Mamphaswa Seabi reported that when officers arrived at the scene, they found Naude’s body next to his car.
