The trade to solve the problems of Utah and the Raptors

Two of the teams that have taken the most prominence during the last week of the NBA Rumors have been Utah Jazz y Toronto Raptors. The first of them wants to transfer to Rudy Gobert in order to keep Donovan Mitchell as the star of the Salt Lake City franchise, whose relationship between the two players isn’t viable either way.

The Raptors, for their part, have decided to put on the transfer market AND Anunoby after news broke that the player was unhappy with his role in Nick Nurse’s squad, demanding more prominence.

The interest of the Canadian franchise in the Jazz center has led the NBA Analysis Network to consider a hypothetical transfer that would immediately solve the two situations of each of the two teams. As expected, Toronto would have to make an extra effort for Gobert, considered one of the best centers and defenders in the entire league.

The exchange would be as follows:

  • Utah Jazz receive: OG Anunoby and Gary Trent Jr.
  • Toronto Raptors recibe a: Rudy Gobert.

A leap in paint and two great versions of ‘3&D’

With this agreement, the Jazz would get two very good players in terms of their contribution in attack and outside defense. For its part, Toronto would take that last necessary leap to be a contender for the ring again (despite losing Trent Jr), leaving the next block of stars: Fred VanVleet, Scottie Barnes, Pascal Siakam and Rudy Gobert.
