The sports party is back

After two years of forced stoppage, the Evita Sports and Cultural Games are back in Formosa. Next Monday at 6:00 p.m., the launch will be made at the Centenario stadium. It will be the return of the largest social sports program in the country and that in Formosa benefits more than 90,000 people, including young people and the elderly.

The launching ceremony will take place on Monday, but it is only the beginning for these Games that will generate attention until the end of October when each of the national instances are fulfilled. In the middle of all this journey, it is customary for Formosa to move to every corner of its territory so that its young and old people participate in each of the sports.

In the year 2019 it was the last edition of the Evita that has as its grand prize the National instance in Mar del Plata. It was two years without the proposal due to the COVID-19 pandemic and in this 2022 it is possible to reactivate the program and this is how it is done in Formosa with the determination of the Government of the Province that from the Secretary of Sports and Community Recreation once again bets on He avoids them.

For this launch on Monday at the Centennial, the slogan of the Sports Secretariat is to return with a party and that is how they devised a start with that tone, just as the situation deserves for these two years without having had the chance to experience the Avoid Games.

There are news regarding the competition, whose details will be announced that Monday. One thing to keep in mind is that for the youth categories they can participate from 10 years to 18. They will be divided into five: Sub 14 -10, 11, 12, 13 and 14 years-, Sub 15 -13, 14 and 15 years old-, Under 16 -15 and 16 years old-, Under 17 -16 and 17 years old- and Under 18 -17 and 18 years old.

Participants may represent clubs, NGOs, community and municipal organizations, public or private educational establishments, sports schools, unions, etc. Those who do not belong to an institution may also do so only accompanied by an adult -over 21 years old-.

Juniors will compete in aquathlon, rock climbing, judo, rugby, chess, fencing, karate, skateboarding, athletics, soccer 11, Olympic lifting, taekwondo, badminton, soccer 7, Greco-Roman wrestling, tennis, 3 vs 3 basketball, futsal, wrestling, table tennis, basketball 5 vs 5, artistic gymnastics, swimming, shooting, boxing, rhythmic gymnastics, artistic swimming, archery, canoeing, trampoline gymnastics, optimist, volleyball, basket ball, handball, figure skating, beach volleyball, cycling, beach handball, skate race, windsurfing, mountain biking, hockey, paddle ball.

In the Disability area, the disciplines are: athletics, swimming, badminton, power lifting, 3×3 basketball, taekwondo, boccia, tennis, soccer 3, table tennis, goalball, sitting volleyball.

While for people over 60 years of age, the proposals are chess, orienteering, paddle tennis, toad, shuffleboard, table tennis, trickery and newcom –adapted volleyball-.
