The only active openly gay NFL player will donate $100,000 to an LGBTI foundation

Carl Nassibfree agent and former Las Vegas Raiders player, is the only gay player in the NFL. After confessing it last year, he has shown himself to be a constant activist when it comes to supporting the LGTBI collective.

On this occasion, the defensive end has made public that he will participate together with The Trevor Project and will contribute up to 100,000 dollars matching the donations made to the association.

“I want to wish everyone a happy Pride month. I also want to remind you why Pride is important to me. Right now there are kids saying ‘I’d rather be dead than gay’ and that’s why I’m partnering again with The Trevor Project to donate up to 100 thousand dollars”, points the player.

The Trevor Project is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping all those gay, lesbian, bisexual, queer youth or transgender who need help to solve their mental health problems and even help them with suicide prevention.

It’s not the first time

When Carl Nassib came out as gay, he also teamed up with The Trevor Project to donate the same amount.

“And they are really doing incredible things. I feel excited to be part of it, to help in any way I can and in the future of the work that he does,” he said on that occasion.
