Judolympics

As part of the Judo Olympics, the disciplines of the sport of judo were adapted: the judo pentathlon consists of general and judo-specific exercises. The disciplines are designed as individual competitions and competitions with partners. Experienced judoka can help the beginners and score points together.

The reward for the performance in this pentathlon was the certificate of participation with a medal.

The winners with the highest number of points in the DJB youth sports badge were Andreas Fleck, Madlen Kilian, Chantal Lieb, Laura and Raphael Merk, Thore Steffen and Paul Zimmermann.

The judo department of TSV Tauberbischofsheim set a new participant record for the 43rd time as a result of the judo safari. This competition is a mass sport event organized by the German Judo Federation for young judokas between the ages of four and 14. Almost 80 participants had registered to take the so-called DJB student sports badge.

Spread over two days, the youngsters had a lot of fun with the judo campaign of a special kind. In this mass sports campaign of the German Judo Federation, traditional sumo wrestling was announced as part of judo, as well as athletic elements such as medicine ball throwing, running and long jump.

The last task was the artistic aspect. Here you can either paint a picture or do some handicrafts.

The points achieved in the five competitions are added up and there were very different awards based on the total number of points: eight times the “Yellow Kangaroo”, 17 times the “Red Fox”, 15 times the “Green Snake”, 14 times the “Blue Eagle”. , 16 times the “Brown Bear” and seven times the “Black Panther”.
