Already in the first attempt, the Muse achieved the best result, throwing a spear 62.56 meters away. The second attempt was not counted for her, in the third the spear flew 62.06 meters, while in the remaining three attempts she failed to throw the spear beyond 60 meters – 58.38 meters, 57.33 meters and 53.88 meters, respectively.
The victory was won by the Japanese javelin thrower Haruka Kitaguchi (63.13 m), but the third place was taken by the Lithuanian Liveta Jasunaite, who, throwing a javelin 62.09 meters, achieved her new best result of the season.
Australian athlete McCenzy Little (61.23m) and Kelsey Lee Barbere (60.60m) finished in the top five.
