The least we can say is that the Mavs have big plans for the upcoming campaign. The goal is clear, to do at least as well as this year, which saw them reach the conference finals. The group led by Jason Kidd has already had the right to reinforcements, Christian Wood arriving from Houston in a trade to support Luka Doncic. Fans can therefore already look forward to a new exterior-interior duo.
However, everything is not yet ready and the Texans must in particular prepare to lose a taulier of the roster, in the coming hours. Suddenly, the front office led by Nico Harrison continues to seek rare pearls in order to lead the franchise to the top. According to Marc Stein, one name in particular would frequently come up on the table: Mathisse Thybulle, departing from Philadelphia. Management would even be intrigued by him for a while:

The Sixer are extremely courted in the market, having been circulating in transfer rumors for a while. When you think about it, the young Australian would also be the ideal recruit for Dallas.
Indeed, if he is not really useful in attack, lacking handle and above all a reliable shoot, the person concerned is one of the best outside defenders on the circuit. However, El Matador may have made great progress in the field, the idea will still be to rest him a little in his half of the field so that he is fully in attack. The problem is Philly will not sell it off and the franchise will therefore have to leave feathers there if it really wants to acquire its services.

On paper, Mathisse Thybulle would be a great addition to the Mavs roster, but not sure that’s easy for leaders to pull off. Already on the verge of losing Jalen Brunson, they can’t afford to let another Doncic lieutenant slip away.
