The sports scenarios of the capital and the department are optimal for competitions.
From June 24 to July 5, the Bolivarian Games Valledupar 2022 in Bogotá and six municipalities in Cundinamarca.
For the first time in history, the department of Cundinamarca was chosen to be the headquarters of the XIX version of the Bolivarian Games, that also began in days past in the capital of the department of Cesar.

The foregoing, because in Valledupar the infrastructure was not adequate for all disciplines, therefore Bogotá and Cundinamarca were designated for the optimal state of sports infrastructure; in addition to the fact that the geographical location and the technical and climatological conditions are suitable for the competitors.
For his part, the Governor of Cundinamarca, Nicolás García indicated that, “The Bolivarian Games will be held in Valledupar from June 24 to July 5. Cundinamarca will be the venue and we will have Guatavita, Chía, Cajicá, Nilo, Facatativá and Zipaquirá receiving sailing, shooting, badminton, handball, horse riding and golf”.

Cundinamarca will have the participation of 19 athletes
- Equestrian: Juliana Gutiérrez, Raúl Corchuelo, Elissa Gallego, Rodrigo Díaz and Jorge Barrera
- Figure skating: Sandra Liliana Diaz, Johana Apolinar and Juan Sebastian Lemus
- Sailing: Isabella Fonseca, Juana Rojas and Tomás de la Vega
- Sports shooting: Andrés Velazco.
- Fencing: Edwin González and Juan Andrés Castillo.
- Athletics: Sandra Galvis and Nicolás Herrera.
- Cycling: Ana María Roa and María José Salamanca.
- Squash: Juan Camilo Vargas.
Calendar of the Bolivarian Games in Cundinamarca and Bogotá
Sailing will be at the Tominé Reservoir between June 27 and July 2.
Sports shooting will be in the municipality of Nilo between June 26 and July 3.
Gol will take place at Club El Rincón, in Cajicá, between June 28 and July 1.
Badminton will be at the Arena de Sal Coliseum in Zipaquirá between June 25 and 29.
In Bogotá there will be three disciplines: water skiing will be held at Club Los Lagartos (from July 2 to 4); at Club El Nogal there will be squash (from June 25 to 29); and in the Army Riding School, located in the North Canton, the equestrian will be held (from June 24 to July 4).
How to attend the Bolivarian Games 2022
The director of the 19 Valledupar 2022 Bolivarian Games, Ana Edurne Camacho, indicated that tickets to the different sports fairs will be free and without ticket officethis to avoid the reselling of tickets.

Camacho reported that the police will be attentive to control the capacity, so attendees must wait until it is empty to enter, if they are allowed and also specified that, “they will be free for everyone, we do not have a ticket office designed for two reasons , one because it would be investing in something that is not going to be used and second because even though it is free, the community always abuses and starts charging for something that does not have an initial price”.
