Nathalie Cagne, 42, from Nance, suffering from a rare orphan patient who has driven her to a wheelchair for ten years, fights every day against the progression of her illness by living at a hundred per hour of many experiences.
She recently participated in the table tennis tournament organized by the local club. “It’s a first but I played when I was a teenager and I quickly found some gestures and my opponents were indulgent in sending me good balls,” said Nathalie who still keeps smiling despite the pain and treatments.
Nathalie, who studied plastic arts at University Paris 1 – Panthéon Sorbonne, holder of a BTS Management of commercial units, can no longer work but, despite medical constraints with numerous physiotherapy sessions, a device to breathe at night, she busy all the time. A seamstress, she created an association L’espoir et l’avenir de Nathalie with which she makes creative objects that she exhibits and sells at various events including the “Mid-September” in Bletterans.
A next challenge in September
Very athletic, she is two or three times at the Lons-le-Saunier swimming pool with Handisports Jura; she practices archery and rifle shooting, she has experienced a hike in a joélette, canoeing, boxing… “All these activities, with the help of my life assistant make it possible to meet, exchange and share with others and learn about experiences.
