Spanish club buys TTT player Vanessa Jasa – Basketball – Sportacentrs.com

Vanessa Jasa started playing basketball at Riga Secondary School No. 47. The first coach – Mudīte Gūtmane (Zandere). She made her debut in the Latvian Women’s Basketball League at the age of 14, representing the Latvian U16 national team. TTT has been training since the autumn of 2018. Jasa’s debut in the big team took place on January 5, 2019competing in the Latvian, Estonian and Lithuanian league house game against Kaunas “Aistes LSMU”.

Jasa then represented the University of Latvia, playing under the guidance of coach Matīsa Rožlapa. Last year, Jasa signed the first professional contract with TTT, trained by Mārtiņš Gulbs – the agreement was concluded for one season, with the possibility to extend it for another season.

Jasa last season participated in all 16 Euroleague games, spending an average of 20.7 minutes on the field (sixth indicator). “Kolibri” student scored 7.1 points, scored 3.4 balls under the baskets and made 1.4 assists. On March 29, Jasa was named the third best young player in the Euroleague.

Offensive defense became the fourth most successful player in TTT after Jessina Tomas, Ieva Pulvere and Daugile Šarauskaite. Jasa scored 39% of the game, including 35.2% of the two-point (19/54) and 41.1% of the three-point (22/51), and 58.8% of the free throw (10/17).

At the beginning of the week, Euskotren signed with Duquesne, one of the leaders of the Estonian national team, and had previously agreed with Nikola Kardano, a former member of Alex Gulbe’s team in Indiana.
