The Professional Basketball Super League is just around the corner and the teams are finishing up their squads for the tournament. One of the big names that was still available in the market was Michael Carrera, but the forward of the national team had already arrived in Venezuela and it was announced where he would play.

The 29-year-old player will be a part of Gladiadores de Anzoátegui. The Oriental team has been one of the teams that has shown the most movement in the market and is undoubtedly one of the contenders for the title. Much more now with Michael Carrera on his payroll.
Upon his arrival in the country, where he is expected to join the national team that is practicing for the third FIBA Window, Michael Carrera took the opportunity to dress up in Gladiator gear, greet his new teammates and give his first statements for the oriental fans.

Carrera had not played in the country since the second edition of the Super League, when the Creole wore the colors of Guaiqueríes de Margarita, a team with which he reached the final of the tournament and lost to Trotamundos de Carabobo.

The eastern forward comes from playing with Forca Lleida of the LEB Oro of Spain, reaching the semifinals of promotion of the league, where they fell against the champion Girona. In his participation in the Catalan club Carrera he had the following numbers: 17.1 points (2nd best in the league), 7.6 rebounds (3rd best), 2.26 assists, 21.58 personal rating (2nd best) and receiving 5.87 fouls per game (1st) .
