Sabitzer and Choupo-Moting will remain at Bayern Munich

In the past few days, reports have been circulating that Bayern could sell Marcel Sabitzer and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting in the summer. Now Roger Wittmann, the advisor to the two FCB stars, has spoken out and denied the current speculation.

Choupo-Moting was last linked with a move to Qatar. Accordingly, the Munich would not put any obstacles in the way of the striker, should one receive an attractive offer. But Wittmann doesn’t want to know anything about that: “The reports are far-fetched. I don’t know why that was written, the boy also clarified that internally. There’s no reason to write that. He stays with Bayern,” he emphasized to “BILD TV” on Sunday.

The Cameroonian is contractually bound to the record champions until 2023 and acts as a backup for Robert Lewandowski.

Sabitzer wants to correct his bad debut season

According to Wittmann, saying goodbye to Marcel Sabitzer is also not an issue for the Austrian: “Sabitzer will stay with Bayern. He’s had a bad year now. He came on the last day of the transfer window and was coach Julian Nagelsmann’s dream player. But now was not his year. He is determined to correct that.”

According to the “BILD”, however, Bayern are quite open to letting the ÖFB kicker go again after just one year if they receive the rumored 15 million euros that were paid to RB Leipzig in 2021.
