Windhagen/Leverkusen. In an exciting final against the experienced David Roels (TC Lieck), Christian Burg finally prevailed in the match tiebreak after a somewhat shaky start (6:7/ 6:2/ 10:4). Christian Burg from Montabaur is characterized by continuous training and being able to put up with minor injuries.

Christian Burg from Rollitennis eV was also successful in the doubles competition. He and his doubles partner, Dominic Lust (TG Vogelstang), have known each other for many years and have already played a number of matches against each other, but this year they played doubles in Leverkusen for the first time. In the final they faced Bettina Nowag (Marienburger SC) and Konstantin Voglis (Club am Rhein) and with a fast 6:2/ 6:2 they won the German championship title (mass sport) in doubles.

Kathrin Wieth and John Brendahl, both Rollitennis eV, competed in the youth category and John Brendahl had the upper hand in two sets in the final against Ela Porges (TC Seeheim) and only lost two games. With a score of 6:3/ 6:3 he can call himself German champion (youth sports) in wheelchair tennis. In training, he constantly works on placing his powerful punches perfectly and thus putting the opponent under pressure, which he is getting better and better at. Those who know the scene predict a great sporting career for him and nobody can deny him the corresponding ambition. Pauline Schramm also started for Rollitennis eV.
