The New York police announced through a press release that they had arrested Roddy Ricch, who was in possession of a weapon.
Unaccustomed to being talked about on a judicial level, Roddy Ricch however had to do with the police over the weekend. In a press release, the NYPD announced that it had arrested the 23-year-old rapper from Compton on Saturday. Police officers actually responded to a call from security guards at Citi Field, home of the New York Mets baseball franchise, where the Governors Ball Music Festival was taking place. The latter have indeed spotted a weapon in Roddy Ricch’s vehicle, which was to occur a little later in the evening, at one of the security checks in place. The police, who did not take long to arrive, then proceeded to arrest Roddy Ricch as well as that of 2 men, Michael Figueroa and Carlos Collins, who were with him in the vehicle. Faced with this news, the organizers of the festival will quickly announce on social networks that the author of The Box could not ensure its performance, without however saying more about the reasons.
Unfortunately Roddy Ricch is no longer performing today.

And precisely, in the car, the police will indeed find the weapon, which was also loaded, as well as several large capacity chargers. So many elements that will lead to the placement in pre-trial detention and the indictment of the 3 men, suspected of 4 counts ranging from “criminal possession of a weapon” to “illegal possession of a large capacity magazine”. During the night, a video showing Roddy Ricch free and wearing a big smile alongside his lawyer was posted on social media. We can therefore imagine that the same fate was reserved for his 2 friends (unless they are wanted) and that a trial will take place within a few months in order to settle this case.
