Red Flames start European Championship preparation with 3-0 defeat against top country England | Red Flames

The Red Flames were able to soak up some of the European Championship atmosphere tonight against England, where the European Championship starts in 3 weeks.

But it was mainly puffing and panting for the Belgians. England came to make life miserable for the Flames defence.

Thanks to a strong Evrard and the inefficiency of the English, the Flames kept the 0 at half time.

In the 2nd half it was bingo for England. First substitute Tysiak saw Kelly’s shot deflect into goal on her knee. Moments later, Daly blasted in the 2nd English goal.

After those 2 goals against in 5 minutes, Wullaert got another chance to make it 2-1. But the captain of the Flames kicked the bouncing ball high over.

England finished the job completely in the final minutes. First Tysiak turned the ball off the line. In the recap, Evrard tapped Williamson’s cannonball into the crossbar.

A 3-0 defeat against one of the European Championship favorites. Next week, the Flames practice against Northern Ireland and Austria.
