Nuremberg. The Pforzheim basketball pro Sheldon Eberhardt leaves Rasta Vechta after just one season and switches to the Nuremberg Falcons within the BARMER 2nd Basketball Bundesliga. This was officially announced by both clubs on Wednesday.
The 26-year-old only came to Vechta last summer from second division runners-up Bayer Giants Leverkusen. The guard played 21 games for Lower Saxony in the past season, but clearly missed the intended play-offs with the team.
“I think I fit in very well with Nuremberg’s style of play and I hope for a successful season here. The talks with the coaches were very promising and I’m looking forward to my time in this great city,” said Eberhardt, who wears shirt number eleven with the Falcons receives.
