PalaPanini, Temple of volleyball par excellence, opens its doors on weekends. Badminton also known as “badminton”, a fairly new sport in our country, but which is an Olympic discipline highly appreciated in many countries.
In fact, more than 200 athletes will be involved in the third edition of the “Grand Prix Modena badminton”, scheduled for Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 July, in the fields set up inside the PalaPanini, coming not only from all over Italy, but also from abroad. . The event, which also aims to encourage greater awareness of environmental sustainability, is organized by the sports club Asd Modena Badminton, and is part of the national calendar of the Italian Badminton Federation. The event, valid as the seventh “City of Modena Trophy”, is also supported by ERP Italia. For two days, from 9 am on Saturday and from 8.30 am on Sunday, and until late afternoon, on the 12 fields set up at the PalaPanini the players, able-bodied and with disabilities, will then compete in single, male and female, double and double competitions. mixed divided into different categories: Under 13, Under 15, Under 17, Junior (Under 19), Senior (Open category), Master (Over 35 and Over 55) and Para-badminton. The scoreboard of the matches is developed with qualifying rounds and direct elimination clashes. The official inauguration of the event is scheduled for 11 on Saturday 2 July and, in the intentions of the organizers, the possibility of freely accessing all the competitions of the tournament, will contribute to spreading the knowledge of this discipline suitable for everyone and every age. The event will also have a green soul, with the aim of calling towards correct social and environmental behavior, aimed at sustainable development, with many initiatives, from a lottery in which you participate with the conferment of small WEEE waste.
