The Red Flames have suffered a 2nd defeat in their preparatory four-part
for the European Championship. Against a stiff Austria, the Belgian football ladies lost with
0-1 after a goal from Plattner. The goodbye match against Luxembourg is still scheduled for Tuesday.

Austria dominates, but escapes penalty shortly before half time
After the 4-1 win against Northern Ireland, the Red Flames were served a more difficult opponent with Austria. Billa immediately got too much space on the edge of the box and fired the first warning shot of the match.
Belgium tried to fight in the match, but it was mainly the Austrian pressing that struck the clock. Hickelsberger appeared face to face with Evrard, but the attacker pushed the 0-1 surprisingly wide.
Although Austria kept control, the visitors almost looked at a penalty on the stroke of half-time. The firm poke in the back of Dhont was eventually inexplicably ignored by the referee.
