Toronto Blue Jays wide receiver Danny Jansen has been placed on the 10-day disabled list with a broken left hand, the team announced Tuesday.
Jansen suffered a broken fifth metacarpal when he was hit by a pitch in the eighth inning of Monday’s win over the Kansas City Royals. However, he remained in the game.
The 27-year-old has played in 19 games this season and is batting .232 with seven home runs and 13 RBIs.
Zack Collins was recalled from Buffalo (AAA) to replace Jansen in the lineup.
