“The players who want to win the title, like Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer, Sascha (his brother Alexander Zverev, editor’s note), Stefanos Tsitsipas, they don’t play to get more points or prize money. They play because they want the trophy, they want the Wimbledon title,” added Mischa Zverev.
These top stars “want to go to the final, they want to experience the atmosphere, they just want to be there at Wimbledon. And that hasn’t changed,” said the older of the Zverev brothers.
“All the prestige is in the name of Wimbledon. If you earn money or points with it – great. It’s like a kind of aftertaste. If you play well, of course you get a reward, a financial one and a few points.”

“I think it’s more relevant for players who are in their 80s, 90s, 100s. They’re struggling to survive and then you’re like, ‘I go to Wimbledon, maybe I don’t play a few tournaments?
