Professor Tadahiro Nomura talks about his aspirations

Judo Olympic gold medalist Tadahiro Nomura, who became a specially appointed professor of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences on April 1, met with President Ohara on June 17.

Professor Nomura is a student who was taught by Professor Takashi Umeda of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Health and Sports Science Laboratory, when he was in the Department of Social Medicine, Graduate School of Medicine, Hirosaki University. He is also the caretaker of the “Practical Sports Medicine Science Study Group” sponsored by the Athletes Support Center of the University, and since 2015, he has participated in this group every year and deepened his ties with the University. ..

Professor Nomura is in charge of a lecture on “Sports Medicine (Nutrition)”, which is part of the “Health and Sports Science Theory” course offered in the first half of the first year of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences.

On this day, after giving classes at the Yagato Campus, we had a talk with President Ohara at the Tempaku Campus.
“I was more nervous than the judo match. The students at Meijo University were very serious and enthusiastic,” he said.
He also said, “I was desperate for myself in today’s class, but in the future I would like to teach with expressions that are easier to convey to students. I hope I can involve students.”
