As expected, the second game between the Gallos de Sancti Spiritus and the Cocodrilos de Matanzas was extremely even; to such an extent that when the rain made an appearance at the José Antonio Huelga the clash showed equality on the board right in the middle of it.
For four full innings the score remained intact, with an excellent pitching duel between starters José Eduardo Santos and Yamichel Pérez, but halfway through the clash the runs came and it was the visitors who broke the cellophane.

In the top of the fifth a single by Yariel Duque was combined with another cannon shot by Juan Miguel Vázquez with an error included and an unstoppable by catcher Roberto Loredo who brought the first to the plate. Then, a rolling ball to third that ended up being a double play by Yasniel Camejo served for Cienfuegos Vázquez to score the second.
The response from Sancti Spiritus was immediate and before the rain arrived; Consecutive doubles by Moises Esquerres and Rodoleis Moreno, along with a single by Daviel Gómez were enough to put the match back on equal footing.

That last episode could hardly be finished, since the final two outs were already achieved under the effects of an uncomfortable rain that made visibility practically impossible. Thus, tomorrow, Saturday, June 10, at 10 in the morning, the actions will resume in the Sancti Spiritus stadium itself.
At the time the actions were stopped, both starters remained on the box; José Eduardo Santos with five hits allowed, one clean, one strikeout and one walk. For his part, Yamichel Pérez, accepted seven hits, two clean, struck out three and granted a base on balls.
