María Julieth Pérez Tangarife from Quindío won the silver medal in mixed teams. The badminton player is part of the Colombia team that pushed hard against Peru, which made a difference and won 3-0.

It must be taken into account that Peru, along with Brazil, is one of the world powers in this discipline, in which the Europeans and, especially, the Asians today have the greatest scrolls.

Pérez, from the municipality of La Tebaida, is establishing herself as one of the best exponents of the discipline in the country, and stands up for Quindian women, in the same way that Sérika Gulumá, silver in cycling, and Clara Juliana did. Guerrero, bronze in individual bowling.

The daughter of the ‘Tropical Eden of Quindío’, who has badminton tattooed on her skin, will face the individual competitions starting this afternoon (4:15 pm)while Guerrero, in bowling, will compete today in pairs alongside Juliana Franco, in search of the podium.
