MARCA Sport Weekend closed its fourth edition last weekend with resounding success

Marca Sport Weekend (MSW), the great sports festival that took place in Malaga last weekend, closed its fourth edition with a resounding success of celebrities in attendance, participating public and monitoring through the different platforms.

The event added more than 11 million online views – a record in its history – from 198 countries through social networks and the newspaper’s website, which broadcast the entire event in streaming. In total, more than 17,000 people attended the MSW, which offered more than 60 activities, round tables, clinics and presentations, all free and open to the public.

Among the first level guests were Edwin Moses, Mireia Belmonte, Javier Thebes, Liam Thuram, Ren Higuita, Pierluigi Collina, Gary Payton, Brahim Daz, Theresa Zabell, Ivn Pedroso, Javier Sotomayor, Vicente del Bosque, Damin Quintero, Carmelo Ezpeleta, Anna Carrasco, Jorge Lorenzo, Juan Carlos Unzu, Carla Surez, Gaizka Mendieta, Miriam Blasco, Mercedes Coghen, Fermn Cacho, Jose Emilio Amavisca, Philippa York, Thin Parakeet, David Aganzo, Mariano Garcia, Jose Antonio Camacho, Antonio Martin Gaitanand many more.

Citizens and visitors to the city were able to enjoy a giant chess space, a climbing wall, golf and cycling simulators, box-go fit and Zumba masterclasses and a show with 120 drones that lit up the Malaga night with a choreography rhythm of the music The event put the finishing touch with an emotional tribute to Manolo Santana.

The Sport Weekend brand, which had the support of the Andalusian Government and the Malaga City Council, and the sponsorship of Cerveza Victoria, Hyundai, Iberdrola, Iberia, LaLiga, La Roche-Posay, Movistar, Santander and Socios.com, also reserved a special gaming area with eSports competitions.
