Live Sport: Volleyball: NUC forfeit Champions League

SB League play-off finalist, Union Neuchâtel has its first foreign reinforcement for the next exercise. The Riveraine club announced on Tuesday the commitment for a season of Arkim Robertson (27 ans, 208 cm).

The pivot, originally from Grenada, arrived in Switzerland last summer after two seasons in the Croatian first division. Last year, in 27 games with the Lugano Tigers, he accumulated 18 points and 10 rebounds in an average of 35 minutes per game, including a peak of 45 points and 20 rebounds in December against Boncourt. The arrival of Robertson should give more offensive weight to the Neuchâtel racket than with Daniel Giddens, whose profile was more defensive.

This is a second summer reinforcement for coach Mitar Trivunovic after the signing of Swiss-Argentinian winger Juan Esteban de la Fuente (21 years old, 198 cm), from the Argentine first division. The Riveraine club, which has extended its Swiss international Kilian Martin, will no longer be able to count on Bryan Colon, Noé Anabir (Geneva Lions) and Yoan Granvorka.
