KV Mechelen started its preparation for the new season on Monday morning with twenty field players and four goalkeepers. Newcomers Malede, Lefrancq and Raemaekers donned the Mechelen training shirt for the first time. Wouters also appeared at the first field training. De Limburger is rented again for another season from the German Schalke 04, this time with a purchase option. In addition to established values such as Storm, Vanlerberghe, Peyre, Schoofs and Hairemans, many young people also trained under Danny Buijs. The Dutch successor of Wouter Vrancken took extensive time to explain the new practice material, mainly in Dutch, to his boys. Buijs was assisted by assistants Steven Defour and Fred Vanderbiest. There is no new physical coach for the time being.
