The President’s Cup Juniors-Super Juniors Judo Championship, organized by the Youth and Sports Club of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, has come to an end. During the three-day championship at Celal Atik Sports Hall, around 18 judoka players from 300 teams took to the tatami.
Competing in Super Juniors aged 9-10 and Juniors aged 11-12, the judokas battled each other for three days. While most of the stands were full, the parents had the opportunity to follow the pleasant matches.
Ersan Odaman, chairman of the Youth and Sports Club of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, who said that the little judokas follow the beautiful competitions, said, “We experienced the great excitement of nearly 300 little judokas. Great matches were played in our hall for three days. I would like to thank all the athletes, coaches and parents who participated in the championship.
The host of the championship, the youth and sports club of the metropolitan municipality of Izmir, as well as Manisa BBSK, Denizli BBSK, Balıkesir BBSK, Burdur BBSK, the municipality of Manisa Salihli, the municipality of Manisa Yunus Emre, Istanbul Chekmat, Göztepe, Narlıdere Municipality, Karşıyaka Municipality, Menemen Municipality, Bergama Municipality, Kemalpaşa Municipality, Şavkar Sports Club, İzmir Olympic Sports Club, Ju-Te-Ka Sports Club and Public Education Club of Konak.
