Ligue 1 calendar: PSG will start its season in Clermont, the Clasico scheduled for October 16 at the Parc

PSG’s 2022-2023 calendar is becoming clearer. According to our information, the French champion will start his season at the Gabriel Montpied stadium against Clermont on the weekend of August 6-7. Last season, the Parisians had fun in Auvergne, on April 9, winning 6-1 thanks to triplets from Mbappé and Neymar. After the reception of Montpellier, during the 2nd day (weekend of August 13 and 14), the first big meeting at the Parc is fixed against Monaco, 3rd in Ligue 1 during the previous exercise, on behalf of the 4th day on Sunday August 28. Obviously a special match for Luis Campos, the new PSG football adviser, in post in the principality from 2013 to 2016. By a wink of fate, he will have taken place, a few days earlier, at the Pierre stadium Mauroy de Lille (3rd day), a club where he also officiated more recently with Christophe Galtier, his favorite to succeed Mauricio Pochettino.

The Clasico on October 16

On September 18, before the international break dedicated to the League of Nations, PSG will go to Lyon (8th day). Paris will conclude its season in its lair at Porte d’Auteuil opposite Clermont, where it will have received, successively, Rennes, then Lyon on Sundays March 19 and April 2.

Due to the World Cup in Qatar in the fall (November 21-December 18), the dates are a little turned upside down this season. Thus, the 38th and last day is set for Sunday, June 4, 2023, two weeks later than in other years. The championship will be interrupted for six weeks on the 15th day, the weekend of November 12, to make way for the World Cup.
