INDOSPORT.COM – The Japanese women’s doubles badminton player, Sayaka Hirota, gave powerful advice to Yeremia Rambitan, who had just been hit by an ACL injury during a match at the Indonesia Open 2022.

Yeremia Rambitan is an Indonesian player who recently suffered an injury and became one of the emotional moments that took place at the Indonesia Open 2022 at Istora Senayan, Jakarta.

The Pramudya Kusumawardana pair at that time fell during the match against the Malaysian pair, Aaron Chia/Soh Wooi Yik, in the quarter-finals of the Indonesia Open 2022.

Jeremiah had twice received medical attention and chose to continue the match. Unfortunately, after winning 20-17, Pramudya/Yeremia finally lost 20-22.

Jeremiah’s injury occurred due to an unstable foot position when he was about to pick up the ball in front of the net, so he could no longer defend and it was difficult to stand.

After the match, Herry IP as the coach of the men’s doubles of Pelatnas PBSI confirmed the results of the MRI, in which Yeremia Rambita suffered an ACL injury.

“From the results of the MRI last Friday night, his ACL was torn about 50 percent. For such injuries, the recovery period is usually long, at least six months,” said Herry IP.

This news was also confirmed by Grace Joselini Corlensa Setiawan as the PBSI doctor, who said that Yeremia had undergone an MRI test and suffered a left knee injury. Jeremiah’s injury is estimated to require a recovery period of 3 to 6 months.

More dr. Grace said that so far Jeremiah will not get surgery. The PBSI team of doctors agreed that Jeremiah would be treated first while continuing to carry out further examinations.

On the other hand, Yeremia also received advice from Sayaka Hirota, who has also suffered an ACL injury in his career.
