Jeolla-go ‘2022 Jeonju Education Jangbae School Sports Club Soccer Tournament’ winner

Jeolla High School (Principal Min-young Cheon) won the ‘2022 Jeonju Education Field School Sports Club Soccer Tournament’ hosted and supervised by the Jeonju Office of Education held at the Jeonju Wansan High School Soccer Field and Jeonju Technical High School Soccer Field from the 18th to the 26th.

Jeollago defeated Jeonju Gonggo 2-0 in the quarterfinals, drew 1:1 with Jeonshin Heunggo in the semifinals, and advanced to the final after penalty shootouts.

Jeolla-go is expected to participate as a representative of Jeonju in the Superintendent’s School Sports Club Competition in September.

The Jeollago Sports Club soccer team achieved the feat of winning the Jeonju Championship in 2018 and the Jeonju Tournament in 2019 for the second consecutive year, winning the championship for the first time in three years.

Starting from this year, due to the stabilization of COVID-19, all events of the national competition will be held face-to-face.

Jeollago, a prestigious school sports club that won the Grand Prize in 2018 and 2019 7560+ Sports Leading School Operation Results, the 2020 School Sports Promotion Minister Award, and the 2021 Korean School Sports Award The goal is to select the representatives of Jeonju in a total of six sports, including table tennis, foot volleyball, and jumping rope.

“I want to make the history of an advanced school sports club by cultivating the right character of students and activating brain cells by practicing creative and diverse sports club programs using their leisure time in general high schools,” said Kang Sam-seong, an advisor.
