“It’s okay if it’s a blowout. It’s an embarrassment during a game like this. “I didn’t know how boring Cubs baseball had gotten.”

The Chicago Cubs currently have a lackluster 23-32 record and sit fourth in the National League Central. The stalwart Cubs – still high on the 2016 World Series win – have faltered.

The Cubs are currently 9.5 games behind first-placed Milwaukee Brewers and 2.5 games behind third-placed Pittsburgh Pirates. With all the losses, the Cubs sometimes struggle to keep their long-time loyal fan base alert at the games. That was evident on Sunday at a game at Wrigley Field.

One fan commented that while such fan antics are to be expected in a game, the home fans have given up. But that’s not exactly appropriate when your team is stuck in a late-stage tie with a key division rival.

Apparently, the now infamous beer line brought no luck to the Chicago Cubs. Instead, it made the fanbase seem more interested in building than cheering on their team.
