Hockey player Gudlevsky becomes a member of Marne’s team in the Swedish second league team “MoDo” / Article

A month ago, the Latvian national team striker Rihards Marenis joined the MoDo team. Last season, MoDo was in the second Allsvenskan regular tournament, but the play-off did not overcome the semi-final barrier.

2021/2022 Gudlevsky started the season in Bratislava ‘s “Slovan” team, playing 17 games in the club, but then joined the Swedish Premier League (SHL) team in Gävle “Brynas”. In SHL’s regular tournament, Gudlevsky scored two laps on average in five fights and bounced back 92.11% of the time, but in the only match of the “play-off” in 17 minutes he bounced eight out of 11 shots.

Before that 2019/2020. Gudlevskis played mostly in the German Premier League (DEL), but before that he was in the ranks of the Continental Hockey League (KHL) in Riga ‘s “Dinamo” for a little more than a season.

Back in 2013, after the successful World Cup in the National Hockey League (NHL) draft with the overall number 124, Gudlevsky was chosen by Lightning. That year, he began his career in North America and also made his debut in the world’s strongest hockey league. In total, Gudlevsky has played in three NHL Regular Championship games and two Stanley Cup matches.

Latvian 2013/2014. The season began with the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL) team in Florida ‘s Everblades, but soon received a call to the Lightning Farm Club in the American Hockey League (AHL) Syracuse Crunch, where he spent most of the season. In February 2014, the goalkeeper defended Latvia’s honor at the Sochi Olympics, but made his debut as a member of Lightning at the end of the season. Thus, Gudlevsky became the first player in history to play in the NHL, AHL, ECHL and Olympics in one season.

True, in the four years he spent in the Lightning system, Gudlevsky played mostly for the Crunch team.

In turn, before 2017/2018. Gudlevsky signed a contract with another NHL unit for the Islanders in New York, but he spent the entire season on the AHL team at Bridgetport’s Sound Tigers.

Gudļevskis has represented the Latvian U-18, U-20 and adult national teams at the World Championships and the Sochi Olympic Games. He was also in the national team for the Beijing Olympics, but did not play on the pitch.
