Hamburg basketball talent Hollatz is moving to Spain

HamburgBasketball Bundesliga club Hamburg Towers loses his exceptional talent Justus Hollatz. The 21-year-old has opted for CB Breogán from the Spanish top league ACB.

The agency announced the change from Hollatz. The “Hamburger Abendblatt” and the portal “basketball.de” reported first.

The departure of the national player from his hometown of Hamburg was expected. Most recently, Partizan Belgrade was named as a likely target. A move within the Bundesliga to a top club like Alba Berlin or Bayern Munich was out of the question for him due to his connection to the Towers. In the long term, Hollatz, who was voted best young player in the Bundesliga twice in a row, wants to join the North American professional league NBA.

Now the choice fell on a club from the Spanish league, which is considered the strongest in Europe. CB Breogán finished 11th last season as a promoted team and just missed out on the playoffs.
