Game 6 ratings

Draymond Green : 10/10

We got two 10s in those playoffs: Stephen Curry when he planted 43 points in Game 4 and Draymond Green tonight. What a boss game. Fucking boss. The series was not easy for him. He had to respond both physically and intelligently. He had to defend on several positions and try to do as much as possible in attack. Green saved the best for last. 12 points, 12 rebounds, 8 assists, 2 steals, 2 blocks and so much activity. Intensity. A mid-range clutch shot when Boston was coming back. A true champ.

Jayson Tatum : 3/10

Yes, he crashed. 13 points in the most important game of his career. An Andrew Wiggins who clearly got into his head. Jayson Tatum left more energy bitching at the referees than playing, proof of real nervousness. He started strong but only scored 2 points in the second half. Terrible. Be careful, however, not to fall on him too quickly. He is only 24 years old and he was playing his first finals. The truth of today is not that of tomorrow.

Stephen Curry : 9/10

This series, this final, is proof, if only one were needed, that he would have dominated at any time. He was so above all the others. One of the greatest players of all time who released a reference performance (34 points) to conclude by offering his fourth ring and his first MVP trophy of the finals. So deserved.

Al Horford: 8/10

He would have made an excellent Game 1 and an excellent Game 6. His surge of pride and skill rarely got the Celtics in the game during the third quarter. 19 points and 14 rebounds. But Curry exploited match-ups by forcing switches on defense at the end. He did what he could. It wasn’t enough.

Klay Thompson : 4/10

Game 6 Klay stayed in San Francisco. He must be swimming somewhere in the Bay at this time. More seriously, Thompson really lacked address (5 out of 20 on shots) but he made up for it in part with real activity in defense. Then who cares? Two years after his injuries, he is an NBA champion again.

Jaylen Brown : 8/10

A hell of a pair of balls. We almost want to just say that. The future is bright for Jaylen Brown.

Andrew Wiggins : 7/10

18 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, 4 steals, 3 blocks. The basket at 3 in the corner to kill the match. Golden State’s second-best player in these Finals. What redemption.

Derrick White : 2/10

It’s mean to hit him because he’s still a role player. He is not responsible for the failures of the Celtics. But he symbolizes this lack of punch off the bench for the Celtics. It had no impact on this Game 6. Just like in Game 5 finally.

Jordan Poole : 6/10

He was a driving force behind the Warriors’ first run in the first half. It weighed less then. But Jordan Poole will be able to learn from this campaign. If he follows the example of his elders, he will go far.

Robert Williams : 8/10

It would have taken 5 Robert Williams for the Celtics to win the title. Its impact was immense. 10 points, 7 rebounds and 5 blocks. Draymond Green’s penchant for Boston. And he too is very young.
