Four workers injured, two seriously, when the main stage collapsed in the assembly of `O Son do Camiño` in Santiago de Compostela

Sources from the Xunta de Galicia attribute the accident to “some failure” due to causes “that are being investigated.”

Four workers have been injured in the work accident recorded this Friday in the Monte do Gozoin Santiago de Compostelawhen the main stage collapsed during the assembly of the concert cycle `The Sound of the Way`. Two of them remain in serious condition.

This has been confirmed by sources from the Xunta, which organizes this series of concerts scheduled for June 16 to 18 in Monte do Gozo, due to the fact that, among others, the Santiago Firefighters, the National Police and the 061.

Sources from the Xunta have detailed that around 12:30 p.m. the structure of the main stage of the concert cycle collapsed, which was being assembled, due to “some failure” due to causes that “are being investigated.”

As a result of this work accident, ambulances from Health Emergencies of Galicia-061as well as troops of Firemen of Santiago and patrols of the National Police.

Due to this incident, two of the workers have been seriously injured and have been evacuated by ambulance, while the others received care at the scene for minor injuries.

Various regional and municipal authorities have traveled to Monte do Gozo, including the General Director of Emergencies, Santiago Villanueva.
