Next weekend (25th and 26th June 2022) the German individual championships for women and men will take place in Stuttgart. The SCHARRena is the scene of the national title fights for the fifth time. 312 athletes – 200 men and 112 women – are registered for the national judo highlight.

“I very much hope that we will finally experience ‘normal’ championships without restrictions again,” hopes Martin Bobert, President of the host national association.

The following athletes from the Olympic and perspective squad of the DJB are registered for the German Championships:

The defending champions in Stuttgart are Sarah Ischt from VfL Wolfsburg (up to 48 kg), Nadja Bazynski from TSV Bayer 04 Leverkusen (up to 63 kg), Julie Hölterhoff from Homburger TG (up to 70 kg), Teresa Zenker from SV Halle (up to 78 kg ), Maximilian Heyder from JC Naisa (up to 60 kg), Tim Gramkow from TKJ Sarstedt (up to 81 kg), Tim Schmidt from UJKC Potsdam (up to 90 kg) and Dario Kurbjeweit-Garcia from TSV Großhadern (up to 100 kg) at the start .

Mascha Ballhaus, Caroline Fritze, Pauline Starke, Miriam Butkereit, Alina Böhm and Sven Heinle are fighting at the same time at the Judo Grand Slam in Ulaanbaatar (Mongolia) and will be absent from the national championships this year.

Tickets for the Judo Championships cost 15.00 euros (day ticket for adults aged 18 and over) or eight euros (day ticket for young people aged four to 17). Children up to the age of three have free admission. VIP tickets are available for EUR 70.00 (admission including access to the VIP grandstand and VIP area with free food and drinks) per day.
