Euro archery – Belgians beaten in the final for the mixed team bronze in compound

(Belga) Sarah Prieels and Quinten Van Looy finish at the foot of the podium in the mixed team competition in compound (compound bow) at the Archery Euros on Saturday in Munich.

Eliminated 156-153 by Denmark in the semi-finals, the Belgian duo were then beaten 156-155 by the Turks Yesim Bostan and Emircan Haney in the final for bronze, finishing the tournament in 5th place. Victory went to Denmark, who beat Estonia 156-153 in the final. At the individual level, Thursday, Sarah Prieels, 12th in the world, had climbed to the quarterfinals. Quinten Van Looy, 139th in the world at 19, was eliminated in the third round. Alongside Reginald Kools, Prieels, 32, won the mixed team event at the last Euro, in Antalya last year. She was also individual European champion in 2016 and indoor European champion in 2015. (Belga)
