Former national team defender Jakub Nakládal does not seem to be returning to professional hockey. “Hockey is a closed chapter for me,” he said in an interview with Pardubický deník.

He still handled them under a contract with the Pardubice club, so he cannot comment on his wild break with Dynamo at the beginning of January.

Fans, however, have speculated about Nakladal’s quarrel with the club management. Pardubice then explained the captain’s shocking end for personal reasons.

Subsequently, there was talk of Nakladatel’s possible transfer to Switzerland, but now it looks like the end of his career. In the meantime, he is involved in business with his brother and enjoys time with his family.

He spent an extremely successful career. In the 2009/2010 season, he won the title with Pardubice and was declared the best defender of the Tipsport extra league.

He also broke through abroad: in the KHL he replaced Ufu, Spartak Moscow, Lva Prague and Yaroslavl. He worked in the Finnish TPS for a year, and even has experience in the NHL, where he recorded thirty starts in Calgary and Carolina. From the international scene, he can boast a bronze medal from the 2012 World Cup, he also participated in the Olympic Games in Sochi.

His return to his native Pardubice nevertheless ended infamously, after less than two seasons …
