Emmanuel Andújar records a triple-double and Fajardo puts pressure on Santurce after beating Guayama

Alex Abreu scored 16 of his 24 points in the first half, Emmanuel Andújar recorded a triple-double and the Cariduros de Fajardo beat the downtrodden Brujos de Guayama on Saturday 86-74 a week and a half before the end of the regular season of the Baloncesto Superior Nacional (BSN).

Fajardo won for the third time in his last four games on the night that former player Georgie Torres’ number 4 was removed to improve to 14-14, one game behind Cangrejeros de Santurce (14-13) for second place in the Section b.

Fajardo has games remaining against Arecibo, Bayamón, Humacao and Carolina. He lost the particular series 4-3 against the Cangrejeros, who still have two matches left against the Grays, more commitments with Mayagüez, Carolina and Guaynabo.

Emmanuel Andújar finished with 18 points, 13 rebounds and 12 assists for Fajardo, while imported Víctor Rudd debuted with 17 points and 11 boards.

For the Brujos (8-18), Hiram Huertas was the best with 29 points.
