DM in Stuttgart: favorites prevailed, German Judo Federation eV, press release

On the second day of the German individual championships for women and men in the SCHARRena in Stuttgart, the favorites were able to prevail in the first final block.

The German championship titles went to Maximilian Heyder from JC Naisa (up to 60 kg), Martin Setz from UJKC Potsdam (up to 66 kg), Dario Kurbjeweit Garcia from TSV Großhadern (up to 100 kg) and Erik Abramov from UJKC Potsdam (over 100 kg).

In the final of the class up to 60 kg, defending champion Maximilian Heyder from JC Naisa was able to take the lead against Moritz Plafky from JC Hennef with a Wazaari score for a foot sweep and bring it over time.

The final battle in the class up to 100 kg between Daniel Herbst from JC Leipzig, third last year, against defending champion Dario Kurbjeweit Garcia from TSV Großhadern went into the golden score extension. Here, Dario Kurbjeweit-Garcia scored the deciding Wazaari score after 41 seconds.

The final fights in the class up to 66 kg between Martin Setz from UJKC Potsdam and Lukas Klemm from VfL Sindelfingen and in the class over 100 kg between Erik Abramov from UJKC Potsdam and Losseni Kone from SC Alstertal-Langenhorn were not held due to injury. Here Martin Setz and Erik Abramov won without a fight.
