Vásquez, who will now be a teammate of fellow Colombian Stiven Mendoza, spoke with Antena 2 in Cali and confirmed this Wednesday his departure from the sugar club, where he won the league title in 2021. As it was known, the 27-year-old player was focused with Rafael Dudamel’s team for the Copa Sudamericana match, but he had to leave to finalize details with his new club.

“It was a negotiation between clubs. I was concentrating thinking about today’s game (Wednesday), but I was hoping that something could be achieved in foreign football. I had always had a problem and things stopped, but hey , God gives me this opportunity and I go with the greatest desire,” said the attacker.

“Ceará de Brasil is a good team and is currently also fighting in the Copa Sudamericana. It has been playing a good role in the Brazilian championship,” and said that it has received good references from Stiven Mendoza and Yonny González, the latter with whom he shared in the Cali. “We are going with the greatest enthusiasm,” he added.
