Deportivo Cali confirms absence in Daytona Beach

Two weeks before the friendly match between Deportivo Cali and América de Cali in the United States, the green team confirmed that they will not be able to be at the Daytona Soccer Fest due to problems in visa appointments for their players. The meeting had been confirmed since April.

“The Asociación Deportivo Cali informs its associates, fans and public opinion in general that will not be able to attend the match against América de Cali, scheduled for July 2 in Daytona Beach (Florida), since it was not possible to timely obtain the appointments to access the visas to enter the United States, which constitutes a reason of force majeure”, Deportivo Cali published on its social networks.

The organization of event had confirmed the presence of the two Valle del Cauca teams due to their tradition in Colombian soccer. The sugar bowls apologized.

“We regret not being able to be at this meeting, since it was our wish to attend the invitation received, but we reiterate for reasons of force majeure we will not be able to do it”, the statement added.

The festival is to celebrate the independence of the United States. The match was scheduled for Saturday, July 2 at 5:00 pm (local time). The organization has also prepared other types of activities such as the camping racetrack, freestyle soccer, concerts, fishing tournament, techball and fireworks.
