Alexander Davidovich achieved the best result of his career in a grass tournament at defeat the Australian Alex de Miaur (4-6, 6-4 and 7-5) and reach the quarterfinals at Queen’s.
Davidovich, winner of Wimbledon junior in 2017, Chained two wins on grass for the first time in his career and debut in the quarterfinals of a tournament on this surface.
The Spaniard recovered from the loss of the initial set, in which he was poor on serve, which he gave up twice, with a solid performance in the following sets. After delivering the first set, Davidovich did not lose his serve againsaving four break points along the way, and with the final tie-break guaranteed, sealed victory under the serve of De Miaur, who was defending last year’s semi-finals here.
