Curry’s Record End = Threat to Celtics

The Golden State Warriors put in an outstanding performance in a 104-94 win in Game 5, Monday, June 13, 2022, local time. Andrew Wiggins did steal the show, but the spotlight also turned to their main star, Stephen Curry.

Curry is still the center of attention for the defense of the Boston Celtics, Curry also still recorded 16 points and 8 assists. However, more than that, today he could say he had a bad day. Curry only had 7/22 shots (32 percent) and didn’t even score a triple (0/9).

This less impressive record also broke Curry’s slick record. According to NBA records, this is the first time in the last 234 games that Curry has failed to score a single triple. Previously, in 233 consecutive games (regular season and playoffs), Curry had always scored at least one point.

This record is the best and longest record of all time NBA. In addition to a total of 233 games, Curry has also always scored at least one triple in 133 consecutive playoff games. In the last 38 playoff games, he has even entered more than one tripoin.

“To be honest, I remember my performance today like the first game of the season against the Los Angeles Lakers,” Curry said after the game. “I also had a difficult night, but I was able to make another contribution and try to simplify things.”

The last time Curry failed to score a single triple was in 2018, in a game against the Milwaukee Bucks. At that time, he only appeared until the middle of the third quarter due to injury.

Prior to that, Curry had not scored a single triple in 2016. In the next game, against the New Orleans Pelicans, he went berserk and scored 13 points, which is the NBA’s best record.

Reported ESPN, there have been nine games in Curry’s career in which he has not scored a single triple. On average, after failing to score three points in a game, Curry managed to score 4.4 points per game in his next game.

“I know he will respond to today’s events in the next game,” said Klay Thompson, who has played with Curry since 2011. “He is one of the best competitors I know and he is also a perfectionist like me.”

“I’m sure he will think about his missed shots today. That’s a good thing for us because on Thursday, in Game 6, he will look crazy. He will be very scary!,” he concluded. (DRMK)
