‘Club Brugge negotiates millions in acquisition’

Club Brugge is currently busy preparing for next season, which will start with the Supercup against AA Gent. For the time being, it is still a matter of time to see which basic team can be expected against the Buffalos. After all, the internationals still have to join and moreover reinforcements are on the way.

During the summer mercato, Blauw-Zwart will have to provide the attacking compartment with extra quality. After all, Bas Dost’s contract will not be extended, Sargis Adamyan’s lease has expired, Noa Lang is aiming for a step higher and Charles De Ketelaere also does not rule out a transfer. Ferran Jugtla has already attracted a center forward. However, Club also wants to get a new striker and an extra wing attacker. For the latter position, Bruges residents would have reported again to the front for Christos Tzolis.

The 20-year-old Greek international was already clearly in the picture on Jan Breydel a year and a half ago, but despite concrete negotiations with his then employer PAOK, an agreement was not reached. Last summer, Tzolis decided to opt for an adventure in the Premier League and started working for Norwich City. But that club was relegated and Tzolis himself was by no means a regular base player, which made him consider a new challenge.

10 MILLION

Rumors of a move to Club have been circulating for several weeks now. And according to the Greek journalist Giannis Chorianopoulos, the negotiations are in full swing. Although an agreement is not immediately for tomorrow. The asking price of about 10 million euros would be too high for Blauw-Zwart. In addition, the national champion is aiming for a loan with purchase option, while Norwich prefers a permanent transfer. The two clubs will therefore have to grow closer to each other, but will remain in talks.
