Clara Burel eliminated in the first round of Wimbledon

Clara Burel (95th) stops in the first round of Wimbledon, beaten Tuesday by Katie Boulter (7-5, 6-3). The Frenchwoman had however made the perfect start against the Briton (118th), breaking quickly to break away at 3-0 in the first set. But Katie Boulter recovered and erased her handicap to come back to 3-3. The game was then balanced, then tilted in favor of Boulder who broke at the best moment (6-5) to complete the set on his serve.

Despite his good will, Burel could no longer manage to get the slightest break point. And at the end of the second set, she broke down by dropping her serve twice, leaving her opponent to sail towards the second round.
