Chamane and Bērziņš enter the finals of the European Junior Championship

Smugglers Sammer Pojarkova / Elizabete Vīksne took the fourth place in the U-23 age group, finishing in a minute and 54,630 seconds, which allowed them to enter the semifinals.

Pojarkova / Vīksne took fifth place in the semi-finals, from which three pairs qualified in the next round.

Canoe rowers Victoria Paune / Aleksandra Počtarenko, on the other hand, finished in the junior preliminaries in two minutes and 27,559 seconds, finishing fifth without finishing in the finals.

Paune and Poctarenko also competed in the 200-meter distance on Friday, finishing fifth, but qualifying for the semifinals.

The kayakers Juris Alsbergs / Kārlis Dumpis took the fourth place in the U-23 500 meters preliminaries, which allowed them to secure a place in the semi-finals, where they managed to get to the B finals by finishing in the sixth position.

Skater Jānis Kaurats showed the fifth best result in the semi-finals of the 500 meters in the semi-finals on Friday, entering the B final. Kaurats also competed in the 200-meter distance, finishing third in the preliminaries and entering the semifinals.

Edvards Ceipe also took the eighth position in the U-23 group in the semifinals, also securing a place in the B finals, while Katrīna Smiltniece did not qualify for the finals in the 1000 meters.

Daniel Sider finished eighth in the junior group semi-finals in the 1000-meter distance without reaching the finals.

Canoe rower Artūrs Ikselis took eighth place in the 200 meters without entering the semifinals, while Ansis Grišāns won the semifinals in the U-23 age group.

Smoker Sabīne Pīlāga took the eighth place in the preliminary race in the distance of 200 meters, not reaching the semi-finals, but Pojarkova was able to secure a place in the semi-finals in the U-23 age group, taking the seventh place in the preliminary race.

Kristaps Laube made it to the semifinals in the 200m kayak preliminaries, taking third place.

The European Junior and U-23 Championships will end on Sunday.
