Brizio and Penone obtain the FISDIR – Targatocn.it qualification

Teachers Alessandro Brizio (ASD Judo Mondovì) e Diego Penone (ASD Judo Valle Maira) are the first two qualified technicians FISDIR of the Province of Cuneo.

Months of preparation, and study, have marked the path successfully completed last June 21, at the Fijlkam Olympic building in Ostia. The FISDIR (Italian Paralympic Sports Federation of Relational Intellectives) was established on 22 February 2009, while the memorandum of understanding with Fijlkam (Italian Federation of Judo Fight Karate Martial Arts) dates back to 26 October 2019.

There are three key principles of FISDIR activity: the possibility of a ‘normalized’ sporting practice, with opportunities for comparison in the sports field; the ability to implement the regulations and adapt them to the needs of individuals; sport, lived through inclusion and integration, to favor the athlete’s complete autonomy.

The FISDIR philosophy is based on the concept of “normalized sporting practice” in the belief that sport improves the quality of life and is able, when practiced by observing the rules, to enhance the individual abilities of every single person.

From this point of view, people with intellectual and relational disabilities are no longer “special” people but individuals with specific needs. And it is to respond to these needs that Alessandro and Diego have chosen to provide, even at the provincial level, new and peculiar figures of reference.

Congratulations to the two masters and a sincere wish that the search for the way, typical of every judoka, is realized, as well as respecting oneself and the opponent, especially on total inclusion.
