Bayern Munich | New rumors about Kalajdzic and Lille-Star as Lewandowski replacements

Who will follow Robert Lewandowski at Bayern if he leaves Munich? For a while as Sasa Kalajdzic as a serious candidate. But then things calmed down around the striker from VfB Stuttgart. That’s for a reason.

Those responsible at FC Bayern don’t have it easy these days, because they have to plan more or less twice in the background for the new season.

On the one hand with Robert Lewandowski, who, according to public statements and vetoes from board member Oliver Kahn, sports director Hasan Salihamidzic and Bayern President Herbert Hainer, should actually stay with the German record champions and fulfill his contract until 2023 – change request or not.

On the other hand, preparations should already be underway in the background in the event that FC Barcelona reaches the currently traded pain threshold of 50 to 60 million euros, which is reportedly necessary for the bosses to be willing to talk about the cause. This was recently reported by several media. “Sport Bild” has now also learned that Barca’s previous offer of 35 million euros will soon be improved in order to advance poker.

In this case, however, Munich would have to find a replacement for the Polish international. Not so easy, because an adequate alternative for the world footballer is difficult to find and hardly affordable. In the past few weeks, Sasa Kalajdzic from VfB Stuttgart in particular has been traded around Säbener Straße, but recently things have calmed down around the Austrian. The “Abendzeitung” even reported that FC Bayern was no longer interested.

FC Bayern stays close to Kalajdzic, but is still waiting

According to “Sport Bild” that is not true. Accordingly, some time ago there were already initial discussions with the 24-year-old giant, who has the splendor of two meters. At the moment, however, communication is at a standstill because the Bayern bosses discussed the personnel too quickly and too widely in public.

So while the German record champions are keeping their feet still at the moment, clubs from England are getting serious. Several Premier League clubs are said to be courting the Bayern flirt, which, according to the report, would prefer a move to Munich.

However, in the case of Kalajdzic, those responsible at FC Bayern are just as passive as with all other alternatives. No name is currently being actively addressed, says the “Sport Bild”.

That should then also apply to Jonathan David from OSC Lille, who is brought into play by the trade journal. The Canadian, who has been playing for Lilli for two years, has scored in double digits in Ligue 1 in recent years (13 and 15 goals) and attracted attention last season, especially in the Champions League with three goals in eight games.

David’s contract runs until 2025. His transfer fee is likely to be between 40 and 50 million euros.
