One gold, two silvers and four bronzes were the spectacular haul of the A Estrada Badminton Club in the U19 Galician Championship held last Saturday in Ponteareas.
Alejandro Barcala and Rubén Comeron won the gold medal in the doubles competition, in a match against their club mate Manu Míguez and Hugo Salgueiro from Ravachol. After an even match they signed a result of 21-16 21-19 that gave them the Galician title.
In doubles, Hugo Domínguez won the bronze, teaming up with Samuel Santabaya from San Amaro. Hugo would double with another bronze in individual.
In women’s doubles Clara Lamiño and Ana Carbia won the silver medal. In mixed doubles, Manu Miguez also did a double with another bronze along with his partner from San Amaro, Carlota Martínez.
And in the women’s individual, the young Iziar Barcala sneaked onto the podium taking a meritorious bronze medal.
